Disgorged without dosage, the 2014 Brut Nature Expression opens in the glass with a youthfully reserved bouquet featuring aromas of green apple, citrus oil, shrimp shell and light reduction. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, concentration and incisive, with a bright spine of acidity and a searingly mineral finish. Produced entirely from old-vine Pinot Noir, this is an austere, intellectual Champagne from Savart that will delight purists.
