Bright ruby-red. Inky blackberry, blueberry, violet, wild herbs and game on the nose, along with a suggestion of fresh blood. An essence of Chambertin soil on the palate, with outstanding black fruit intensity complicated by game and lifted by a floral topnote. This explosive wine features a mouth-staining, slowly mounting finish, with noble tannins perfectly supported by strong extract. Demonstrative already but with great energy and grip to support extended aging. A great Chambertin in the making.
