La Tour de Mons is a Bordeaux winery and estate located in Margaux, known for its blended red wines made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It was rated a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur estate in the Cru Bourgeois classification and its various amendments until the category was shelved in 2008.

The property is a single-block walled vineyard covering 58 hectares (143 acres) in the north of Margaux, close to the banks of the Gironde estuary. It is planted roughly to 61 percent Merlot, 33 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, three percent Petit Verdot and three percent Cabernet Franc.

Both the “grand vin”, Château La Tour de Mons, and the second wine, Marquis de Mons, broadly reflect this ratio in their blends although the grand vin tends to contain less Merlot (albeit still the dominant portion of the blend) and more Cabernet Sauvignon.

The fruit is hand picked and fermented in plot-specific stainless steel vats. The grand vin typically sees 12 months in French oak barrels of which 40 percent is new. The winery produces roughly 33,000 cases annually.

Château La Tour de Mons can trace its history back to the 13th Century when it was known as Tour de Marsac. In the early 17th century it came under the purview of the de Mons family through marriage, whence its modern name.
