(6-2000) What a surprise from a famously light vintage! First the beautiful color retains its depth. Very bright, it is slightly dark vermilion. The nose seems more difficult to describe. Discreet, a curious and candied note is reminiscent of sweet wines. Aeration brings touches of tobacco leaves. On the palate, refined body caresses the palate with roundness and many flavors. The structure is not very tight in accordance with the type of vintage. The wine is still very good with smoky notes on the finish and tannin but without stiffness or hardiness. Amazing! Drink it up.
