Domaine des Sénéchaux is an historic estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape with 27 hectares (67 acres) under vine. The majority of Domaine des Sénéchaux’s vineyard production is dedicated to its red Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with the remaining 9 percent set aside for its white Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
The name Sénéchaux is derived from the domaine’s important vineyards in Bois Sénéchaux. Domaine des Sénéchaux is among the oldest in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with its foundation dating back to the 14th Century. In 2006, it was purchased by the Cazes family who also count Château Lynch-Bages within their wider portfolio of French wine estates.
